For the past year I've been collecting data and now my survey is done.
I've been to Sudbury in the North, and Nouméa in the Pacific. Salobo in the jungle and the desolate desert surrounding Mt. Keith. I've seen the raw ore ripped from the earth, open pits ablaze, Wirtgen surface extractors chugging diesel, and the burning glow of molten opportunity.
The deafening sound of the world eating itself rings loud in my ears. But now I'm back–returning from my research to share what I've seen and heard.
I arrived at the last stop of my tour, the corporate headquarters of my employer, awaiting my scheduled meeting with Victor Ferreira.
